The federal cabinet has approved the deployment of army troops under Article 245 of the Constitution in all provinces for participating in rescue operations in rains and flood-affected areas, reported 24 News HD TV Channel Friday.
The governments of four provinces including Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh requested the federal government to deploy army contingents in their flood-hit districts for dealing with the national disaster.
The army will participate in the relief operations along with the provincial governments and the administration
