A woman died on Friday inside the rickshaw she had travelled in to reach Khairpur Civil Hospital for emergency treatment allegedly due to the staff’s negligence and carelessness, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the hospital sources, the woman was brought to the hospital in critical condition from Musa Kalhoro village, but, after being denied timely treatment by the staff, she breathed her last in the rickshaw she had been moved in to the hospital.
“We had informed the staff at the hospital’s emergency ward about the critical condition of the woman, but there was no stretcher for her in the ward which caused her to die in the rickshaw,” said the relatives of the woman.
“Now when our woman has died, the hospital administration is offering us ambulance to move her dead body to the village,” they deplored.
“Had the hospital administration provided a stretcher to our woman, she would have survived,” they lamented.
