Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said on Sunday that PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s ‘Jail Bharo’ movement had now become an embarrassment for him, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a press conference in Faisalabad, he said that 80 per cent of PTI workers and leaders, who had surrendered to police, later applied for bails.
He said that initially PTI workers would be sent to jails in far-flung areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while later to nearby ones.
The minister said Imran’s all tactics to spread what he called ‘chaos’ in the society had failed. “PTI chief has been spreading ‘mischief’ for the last eight months,” he alleged.
Imran wanted, he added, instability in the country to persist.
Sanaullah called for a probe into the audio leaks involving former Punjab chief minister and PTI Central President Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.
He claimed that masses would throw Imran out in the next elections through their votes.
