Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI ) founder Imran Khan has cried foul, claiming his party is being crushed.

Talking to the media at Adiala Jail, he said, “Since May 25, 2023, attempts have been made to crush PTI. Attempts were made to kill me twice. Which law did we break on May 9?

He added: “I will not negotiate with anyone for power. I have never said that I didn’t negotiate with politicians.

“The power should be given to the elected people. Political engineering has sunk the ship of the country. Election surveys will be effective only if PTI is in the field.”

He continued: “A fugitive is being given VIP protocol. The establishment got Nawaz Sharif cleared of all cases.

“Our cases are not open trial. Nawaz Sharif has nothing to do with honesty."

He stressed: “What is happening with the media is also unprecedented. The media has been controlled completely.

“Azam Khan was held for 40 days and Khawar Manika was brought under pressure.

In reply to a query, the former prime minister said: "I was told by ex-COAS Bajwa that 80 per cent of the army is with the PTI.  Bajwa was given an extension. He asked me to give them NRO.”

He said he gave the local leadership the authority to distribute PTI tickets.

Regarding rivals, the PTI founder said they are one. They form PDM to grab power.

He questioned why he would support the PPP in forming the government.

A political alliance can be formed with MWM and JUI-Sherani only, he said.
