Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has awarded gold medals to the consul generals of five countries based in Karachi in recognition of their ambassadorial services, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The UAE’s Vice Consul Abdullah Al-Maheeri was given a gold medal for his cultural, trade and ambassadorial services.
Similarly, Sultanate of Oman’s Consul General Engineer Sami Abdullah Al Khanjari, Islamic Republic of Iran’s Consul General Hassan Nourian, Bahrain’s Consul General Yasir Isa and Republic of Türkiye’s Cemal Sangu were also awarded gold medals.
Thanking the governor, the consul generals have vowed to continue their services for the promotion of ties between Pakistan and their countries.
Oman’s consul general has said that receiving a gold medal is a matter of great prestige and honour for him. “Appreciation of our efforts encourages us to do more,” he has said.
Tessori, on the other hand, has said he looks up to the diplomatic staff of all countries with respect.
