Kashmiris are observing India’s Republic Day as Black Day today, with a complete strike being observed in the occupied valley of Jammu and Kashmir on the call of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Sunday.
Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq, in a special message on India’s Republic Day being observed as a Black Day, called Indian democracy and secularism the "biggest fraud to deceive the world."
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, he stated that minorities in India neither enjoy religious freedom nor are their places of worship safe.
He accused India of using the facade of democracy to cover up its war crimes.
The Prime Minister highlighted that for the past seven decades, India has deprived Kashmiris of their democratic rights and is guilty of gross human rights violations.
Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq termed India's August 5, 2019, action as a severe violation of United Nations resolutions and condemned India for trampling these agreements.
He paid tribute to the spirit of freedom among Kashmiris, acknowledging their sacrifices spanning three generations for the independence movement.
He reaffirmed that Kashmiris will continue their struggle for the right to self-determination as enshrined in UN resolutions.
