At least one person lost his life, and several others sustained severe injuries after an explosion occurred in a passenger bus on the M-8 Highway near Khuzdar, reported 2the 24NewsHDTV channel on Sunday.
The explosion also caused damage to another bus travelling on the same route from Khuzdar to Rawalpindi.
According to Levies sources, the injured passengers were immediately transported to Khuzdar Trauma Centre and Teaching Hospital for medical treatment.
Law enforcement agencies are actively investigating the incident, while the area has been secured to facilitate further inquiries into the cause of the explosion.
