Pakistani cricketer Shadab Khan has finally broken his silence regarding the allegations made by TikTok star Shah Taj Khan about their alleged relationship. The drama started in September 2024 when Shah Taj claimed she had been in contact with Shadab via WhatsApp and Instagram for several months.

Shadab, who married Saqlain Mushtaq’s daughter in January 2023, recently appeared on a comedy programme on a private TV channel. During the show, the host asked Shadab about the claims from actresses that cricketers frequently message them. The host inquired whether these claims were true or just rumours.

Responding directly, Shadab remarked, “I think even if they do, what’s wrong with it? If you don’t like it, don’t answer, ignore it.” He continued, “If she responds, it means she’s also interested in the conversation.”

The all-rounder emphasized that many of these claims, especially those that emerge during cricket tournaments, are often exaggerated. “There’s nothing like what’s being claimed,” he asserted. “These things are often just said to gain fame.”

Shadab admitted that cricketers often joked about such rumours with each other, asking, "Who sent that message?"

It is worth mentioning here that the controversy took a new turn when Shah Taj Khan appeared on the "Game Show Aise Chale Ga," hosted by Mathira, and revealed that she had been a huge fan of Shadab. She shared how she had traveled to Lahore to watch his matches and was deeply hurt when Shadab got married.

After Shadab's marriage, Shah Taj reportedly criticized him during a private conversation with friends, which was leaked and went viral, sparking a wave of reactions from Shadab's fans.

While Shadab’s comments have shed light on the situation, laying to rest some of the rumours. However the entire incident has certainly caught the attention of both cricket fans and the entertainment industry.
