Pakistan Peoaple’s Party chairman and co-chairman have expressed concern over the losses caused by heavy rains and floods across the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In their respective statements on Tuesday, PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed condolences over loss of lives due to rains and floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Gilgit Baltistan.
Former president Asif Zardari instructed all the concerned ministers of PPP to reach their constituencies. He also directed all the chairmen of local bodies, deputy chairmen, mayors, deputy mayors and councillors to actively play their role in relief work.
Asif Zardari expressed concern over the heavy rains in the entire country including Sindh, offering sympathies and condolences to the families of the bereaved in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan.
He said that due to the recent rains, there has been a huge loss of crops in Sindh including date palm and mango crops.
On his part, PPP Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed concerned over the damage caused by rains to agriculture in Sindh.
Bilawal urged Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to extend help to provincial and GB governments for tacking with the situation.
