Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has come down hard on KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur for passing cunctatory statements

“The statements of KP CM are a collection of contradictions,” he said during a press conference in Islamabad.

Flanked by Engineer Amir Maqam, the federal information minister questioned the KP government's inaction against the timber mafia.

“A tree-cutting scandal has surfaced in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Chief Minister should shed light on steps to rein in the timber mafia. We are aware of the problems of KP CM.”

He took a swipe at the KP government for failure to curb the resurgence of terrorism, saying: “You brought back the terrorists and terrorism.

“What anti-terrorism measures, have you adopted.”

Amir Muqam said the KP government failed to maintain law and order and the army has always been called at the request of the government.

He added “The intelligence-based operations (IBOs) have already been underway in KP.

“There is nothing new in KP. Do not try to mislead the people.

“The third term is your government, it is your job to establish peace and harmony.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s quantum artificial intelligence deal too brought claims of foul play, Atta said, adding that thousands of youth are being fooled.

The federal minister said the Jamaat-e-Islami was allowed to stage a sit-in Liaquat Bagh.

He continued: “The leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami is respectable for us.

“The government is ready to hold talks with the Jamaat.

“Hafiz Naeem is a seasoned politician. He always showed wisdom.”
