In a surprising development in the case of torture of stage artiste and PML-N Cultural Wing President Tahir Anjum at the hands of PTI worker Aneela Riaz alias Neeli Parri outside the Punjab Assembly in Lahore the other day, it has emerged that both together connived to stage a drama for their personal interests, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
Sources told 24News TV channel that the CCTV camera footage obtained by the police shows that a few hours before the incident happened at Punjab Assembly, Parri went to Anjum’s home, and from there she hired a rickshaw to reach the provincial assembly.
While Parri was an aspirant for the PTI’s reserved seat, the stage artiste, on the other hand, wanted to further improve his image in the eyes of the PML-N leadership.
Police said that during the investigation, it was revealed that both were in contact with each other as proved by the call history obtained from their cellphones.
And last but not least, Anjum, in his statement written prior to the incident, said that he had forgiven Parri for beating him.
Court sends Parri to jail on judicial remand
Also on Friday, a court in Lahore, while rejecting the police’s request for a physical remand of Parri, sent her to jail on a judicial remand instead.
An FIR had been registered against the PTI worker at Gujjar Singh police station.
