Victim of Wazirabad Firing incident quits PTI

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Punjab's former secretary of finance Mir Omer Farooq Meyer who along with his party chairman was also injured in the Wazirabad Firing incident announced to quit politics on Monday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Omer Meyer was leading the PTI's anti-Usman Dar faction in Sialkot and he made his announcement of quitting politics soon after an important press conference of the ISPR Director General Major General Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry.
Mir Omer Farooq Meyer got his initial education from Lawrence College, Ghora Gali, Murree and then passed B.Com from Punjab College of Commerce, Rawalpindi and MBA from UCP, Lahore.
He joined the PTI in 2007 and served the party as Sialkot District President. Later, he contested the election from PP-122 Sialkot and got 38000.
