The Anti-Terrorism Court has adjourned the bail hearings of several Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, including Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Umar Sarfraz Cheema, Ejaz Chaudhry, and Mian Mehmood-ul-Rashid, until July 2, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Tuesday.

These leaders are facing charges related to arson incidents on May 9.

The hearings involve multiple cases, including the burning of police vehicles in Rahat Chowk and attacks on the Askari Tower and PML-N offices.

Dr Yasmin Rashid has filed bail applications in six cases, including one involving the arson of a PML-N office. Similarly, Umar Sarfraz Cheema, Mian Mehmood-ul-Rashid, and Ejaz Chaudhry have submitted bail applications concerning the Askari Tower attack.

During the court proceedings, Burhan Muazzam Malik Advocate presented arguments on behalf of Dr. Yasmin Rashid.

The court has requested arguments from the prosecution for the upcoming hearing. Judge Khalid Arshad of the Anti-Terrorism Court presided over the session.

Former Governor Umar Sarfraz Cheema has filed bail applications in eight cases, including those related to the Shadman Nazratish police station. Two separate anti-terrorism courts are handling the bail hearings for the PTI leaders.

The court will continue to deliberate on these high-profile cases, with the next session scheduled for July 2, where further arguments from both defence and prosecution will be heard.
