A district and sessions court in Islamabad on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of pre-arrest bail applications filed by former prime minister and ex-PTI chairman Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in different cases of vandalism and arson until July 16, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Additional and Sessions Judge Afzal Majoka heard six bail applications filed by Imran and one by Bushra.
Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry, counsel for the former prime minister, appeared in the court.
The judge, on the occasion, said he had issued a notice to the Adiala Jail superintendent for making arrangements for recording the statement of Imran via a video link. “Let’s see what the superintendent says in his reply,” he said, and added, “The court has also to give a decision on the appeals filed in the illegal marriage case; therefore it would be better if take up the bails’ pleas for the hearing later.”
