The Sindh government has imposed ban on offering congregational Friday prayers, as only mosque staffers would be allowed to offer prayers inside the mosque.

Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister on Law, Anti-Corruption Establishment and Information Murtaza Wahab said that the decision was taken after consulting all the clerics to contain the spread of novel coronavirus. The restriction will continue until April 5, Wahab said. Only three to five persons can offer Friday prayers at the mosques, he added.

In a twitter message, Pakistan People's Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari urged the people of Sindh to offer prayers at home.
