Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan spokesperson Qaiser Sharif Monday said that Siraj-ul-Haq, the Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, has departed abroad to perform Umrah in Saudi Arabia.
During his absence, Liaquat Baloch has been appointed as the Acting Ameer of the party. Baloch, a seasoned member of the party, took the oath for this interim position, ensuring continuity in leadership. The spokesperson also revealed that Siraj-ul-Haq intends to partake in I'tikaf during the last decade of Ramadan, seeking spiritual retreat and blessings.
