The participation of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) in the Pakistan Day parade reflects the unique bond between the two countries, a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Monday.
In a press briefing, the spokesperson said: “At the invitation of the Pakistani military, a delegation of PLA Guard of Honor participated in the military parade in Islamabad, celebrating the 84th Pakistan Day. The participation of the PLA contingent fully demonstrated the unique bonds between the two countries and contributed a colourful chapter of the mil-to-mil relationship”
The 36-member PLA Guard of Honor escorted the Chinese national flag while marching across the avenue and shouted Long live Pakistan-China friendship in Urdu in response to the audience's warm applause on Pakistan Day.
The Chinese official said: “China wishes Pakistan well as a strategic cooperative partner and friend like a lead wall"
About the Arunachal Pradesh issue, he said: “The border between India and China has never been fixed. There are four different classes and Xingnan has always been a part of China even before the illegal occupation by India.
"China has had an effective administration in this region, which is an indisputable fact. "In 1987, the Indian side established the so-called Arunachal Pradesh on this illegally occupied territory."
"We have issued strong statements against India's actions and emphasized that their actions are ineffective and there has been no change in China's position."
