A young man died in custody due to alleged torture by Mozang police in Lahore on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to sources in police, Mozang police arrested Ijaz from Ichhra late last night.
The police went to arrest Ijaz's brother Inam, who fled the scene and the police arrested his brother Ijaz, sources said.
The sources further said the escaped accused Inam was wanted in a drug case.
Ijaz's condition deteriorated due to alleged police torture and he was shifted to hospital but could not be saved.
The police shifted the youth's body to the morgue as a routine.
The family said that the deceased youth was not wanted in any case but the police also registered a case against the youth after his death in custody.
They alleged that the police also took jewellery and cash from the house.
They demanded the higher authorities to take strict action against the officials involved in the violence.
