Condemning the life imprisonment awarded to the occupied Kashmir’s Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik by a court in India, former president and PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari said on Thursday that the decision had exposed the real face of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a statement, he announced that he would go to each and every forum to challenge the Indian court’s verdict. “My and my party’s heart beats with the hearts of people of the Indian occupied Kashmir,” he said, and vowed not to leave the Kashmiris alone. “After all, what message India wants to give to the world through its extremist policies,” he wondered.

Zardari went on to say that Kashmir’s freedom was late prime ministers Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto’s dream, and the PPP would not relent unless that dream came true.

Kashmiri freedom fighter Yasin Malik was sentenced to life behind bars by a court in Delhi yesterday (Wednesday) in connection with the terror funding case against him.

The NIA had demanded death penalty for Yasin Malik who had earlier pleaded guilty to all the charges, including those under the stringent Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), in a terror funding case.
