Former captain of Pakistan cricket team Waseem Akram in his recent international level interview at “The Grade Cricketer” shared some interesting facts about his journey into cricket and his early experiences.
He was asked a question What’s it like to circuit with Imran Khan as a youngster?
He answered, “For me, it was fun the whole team and Imran Khan asked me to go to a nightclub with his husky voice.”
Waseem Akram told that after this he called Imran into his room and he came and said: “Yes skipper I am ready”.
Waseem started laughing and said “Hearing that I was like this????? Like what……”
Further, he told that Imran Khan ordered a glass of milk at the bar because he never drank in his life and that was bizarre and then there was a queue of only girls to shake hands with Imran and he just said that’s awesome.
He took us and one of his female friends took us to the airport. "She had her own plane so we sat on a private plane about 45 minutes ride into a deserted Island," Wasim added.
They went into “Chat” into the house….I said okay what should we do now? We can’t even go back to the hotel because we are on an Island in the middle of South America.
