A shocking incident claimed the life of a 36-year-old Indian man who was beaten to death when he refused to take his wife to Dubai for her birthday celebrations. The instance took place on November 24 afternoon in Pune's upscale Ganga Satellite Housing Society.
The woman punched her husband for not taking her to Dubai on her birthday. The husband fell unconscious after being hit hard on the nose. He was taken to the hospital after bleeding from the nose and becoming unconscious, where the doctors declared her husband dead.
The wife was expecting her husband to take her to Dubai on her birthday. She hoped that she would get a surprise from her husband. When this did not happen, the wife punched the hubby which became the cause of death.
According to an official of Wanwadi police station, the deceased Nikhil Khanna was a real estate developer. He lived in Wanwadi area. His wife was angry with her husband for not taking her to Dubai on her birthday.
During investigation, it was revealed that the birthday of the deceased’s wife Renuka (36) was on September 18. She wanted to go to Dubai to celebrate it, but her husband did not fulfill this demand. She allegedly punched her husband in the face, resulting in his death.
Police officials said that apart from this, November 5 was also her wedding anniversary and she was expecting a good gift from her husband.
Apart from this, the woman was also upset because she wanted to go to Delhi for her relative’s birthday, but this demand was not fulfilled by her husband.
According to the police, there was a heated argument between the couple on Friday regarding these matters. The officer said that in anger the woman punched her husband on the nose. Due to which he started bleeding profusely and he became unconscious.
After being informed by neighbours, a police team reached the spot and took Khanna to the hospital, he said and added, where he was declared dead. The police officer said that it is also being investigated whether the woman attacked herself with any other object. He said that the exact cause of death will be known only after postmortem. He said that we have taken the woman into custody and the matter is being investigated. Police have registered a case against the woman under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code.
