MDCAT 2023 being re-conducted in KP today

Entry test in medical and dental colleges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has started today and more than 40,000 students are participating in the test, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

Earlier, the management has completed all the essential preparations for the MDCAT 2023 with setting up 11 examination centers and imposing Section 144 in the surrounding areas of examination centers.

The district administration also banned books, solved papers, electronic devices, and carrying mobile phones up to 100 meters near examination centers.

On the other hand, security personnel and staff will also not be allowed to carry mobile phones around examination centers.

Mobile signals have been jammed near the test centers while police and security agencies personnel have been deployed at the main gates of the examination halls.

Khyber Medical University officials allowed students to enter the hall after biometric verification and a thorough frisking.

The KMU officials said the test was started at 10 am, students were not allowed to take anything except the entry cards while ballpoints and paper boards were provided by the administration. The 219 students caught in the previous test were not allowed to enter the hall.

Earlier, the government had decided to cancel the test on September 28 after complaints of cheating were recieved.
