Rizwan Aziz Malik elected as SHCBA Karachi President

The senior lawyer Rizwan Aziz Malik has been elected as President of the Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA) Karachi, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to complete results released by the Sindh High Court Bar Association on Saturday, Rizwan Aziz secured success with a notable 1626 votes while his opponents Aimal Kasi and Advocate Wahab Baloch got 1200 and 631 votes respectively.

 In the vice-presidential category, Zubeir Ahmed Abbasi emerged as the triumphant candidate, taking 1600 votes while Advocate Farhan Zia and Muhammad Azad garnered 1044 and 688 votes respectively in the race.  

Barrister Sarfraz Maitlo secured 2129 votes in the election for the position of General Secretary. Tahmasip Rashid Rizvi 1197, Ishrat Ghazali 63 while Muhammad Ajmal Awan got 49 votes in the run for the general secretary slot.

The treasurer's seat saw Muhammad Hakeem Shar emerge victorious with 1895 votes. Competing against him, Muhammad Yaseen Shahid got 1312 votes.

 In the election for the Joint Secretary position, Ghulam Asghar Pathan emerged as the winner with 1748 votes while Faisal Ahmed and Muhammad Sajjad Abbasi garnered 434 and 1243 votes respectively in a keenly contested race.

Joint Secretary (Additional) witnessed Gulanaz Kousar emerge as the successful candidate with 1179 votes.

 Competing against her were Faiza Amin (884 votes), Fouzia Mushtaq (441 votes), Mahmooda Salman (435 votes), Rakhshanda Wahid (221 votes), and Sahreena Rafique (230 votes).

 Additionally, the members elected to the managing committee include Aamir Raza, Adnan Ali, Amjad Hussain, Ashrat Sadiq, Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Aqar, Muhammad Naeem, and Zeb-un-Nisa.
