Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the attack on Rangers and police personnel by protesters on Srinagar Highway, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Tuesday.

In a statement, the PM denounced the violent actions disguised as a peaceful protest, stating that such attacks on law enforcement agencies are intolerable and reprehensible. 

He remarked, "The disruptive group is deliberately targeting law enforcement personnel tasked with maintaining peace in the city."

Condemning the incident, he highlighted that the violent actions have devastated the lives of the families of security officials. 

The perpetrators are accountable to the innocent children and families of the police officer killed earlier and the Rangers officials martyred today, he added.

The PM expressed deep sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of Rangers officials who were crushed by a vehicle during the incident. He prayed for the elevation of ranks for the martyred officials and patience for their bereaved families.

He directed authorities to immediately identify those involved in the attack and ensure they face strict punishment. He also instructed the provision of the best medical care to the injured Rangers and police personnel.

PM Shehbaz Sharif stressed that these acts are not peaceful protests but a form of extremism aimed at inciting bloodshed for nefarious political motives. 

"Pakistan cannot afford any chaos or bloodshed," he asserted while paying tribute to the martyred Rangers and police personnel on behalf of the nation.

Interior Minister Naqvi condemns attacks on Rangers, police

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the attack on Rangers and police personnel by miscreants.

In a statement, Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the four martyred Rangers personnel and two cops.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families of the martyrs.

Mohsin Naqvi directed to provide the best medical facilities to the injured personnel.

The nation salutes the martyred Rangers and police personnel, Mohsin Naqvi said.

He said the martyred personnel sacrificed their lives while performing their duty. 

All the miscreants involved in the attack will be brought to justice, Mohsin Naqvi said.

Bilawal strongly condemns attack on Rangers

Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari strongly condemned the attack on Rangers personnel on Srinagar Highway in Islamabad.

According to a press release issued by the Media Cell of Bilawal House, he said that targeting police and security forces striving to maintain law and order in Islamabad is blatant terrorism.

He demanded that those involved in the attacks on Rangers and police in Islamabad be brought to justice.

Paying tribute to the Rangers and police personnel who embraced martyrdom, Bilawal Bhutto said they were the brave sons of the nation.

He expressed heartfelt condolences and solidarity with the families of the martyred officers and prayed for their patience and strength during this difficult time. Additionally, he prayed for the swift recovery of the injured personnel.

Bilawal Bhutto reiterated his party’s clear stance on the right to peaceful protest and its opposition to any acts of violence and terrorism.
