A heartbreaking incident occurred late last night in Islamabad's G-10 sector, where political miscreants allegedly targeted security personnel on duty during an ongoing sit-in protest, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Tuesday.
According to Rangers officials, a speeding vehicle from the protest site rammed into officers at a checkpoint, resulting in fatalities and injuries.
The attack, which occurred between 2 and 3 a.m., left three Rangers personnel martyred and three injured, along with three injured Islamabad Police officers.
A Rangers officer stationed at the site shared the following: "A speeding vehicle with its headlights switched off approached from the sit-in area and struck the Rangers and police personnel at the checkpoint. It appeared to be a deliberate act, targeting our comrades directly."
Another official corroborated this account, stating: "The vehicle crushed our men and sped away. The attack was clearly calculated to cause harm."
