Former president Asif Ali Zardari Wednesday assured the German consul general that the Sindh government would provide maximum opportunities to the German investors, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The former president appreciated the German investors for taking interest in investing in the energy sector of Sindh.
“The two countries have close ties. The cultural and economic relations will be strengthened further,” said Consul General Dr Rudiger Lotz.
Earlier, Asif Ali Zardari arrived at the German Consulate where he was accorded a warm welcome by the consul general.
The consul general presented former President Asif Ali Zardari with a Sindhi cap decorated with the colours of the German flag.
Mutual issues were also discussed during the meeting.
Bilawal salutes courage of polio workers
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has expressed his regret over the martyrdom of the police officer who was escorting the polio team in Pishin district of Balochistan, and condemn the firing incident.
The PPP Chairman, in a twitter statement, expressed his heartfelt condolence and solidarity with the family members of martyred official Muhammad Hashim and hoped that the assailant, involved in the attack, will be arrested soon.
He saluted the courage and passion of every polio worker engaged in the fight against polio eradications across the country, asserting that such cowardly acts cannot shake Pakistan’s campaign against polio eradication.
