In a police operation in Dera Ismail Khan (DIK) on Wednesday, two notorious terrorists belonging to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Bali Khyara group were killed, and one was injured.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, during an intense exchange of fire between terrorists and law enforcers, an innocent passerby sustained injuries and was promptly taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.
The deceased terrorists, identified as Shoaib and Numan Shafaq, were key figures on the police's most-wanted list as they were involved in communal target killings and attacks on police and security forces.
The operation took place in the Purwa area of Dera Ismail Khan, and one of the terrorists managed to escape despite being injured.
In response to these developments, the Dera Ismail Khan police have launched an extensive search operation in the Paroa area of the city, bolstered by the deployment of additional personnel from the Dera Ismail Khan Police Line.
Notably, the deceased terrorist Shoaib was one of the most wanted terrorists and a headmoney of Rs10,00,000 was set on him.
