Four people were killed while several others were injured after a dumper coming from an opposite direction rammed into a passenger van, heading from Tandlianwala to Faisalabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The accident took place on Satyana Road near Zahid Ji Mills.
Some policemen were also sitting in the van along with ordinary passengers.
The deceased were identified as Police Constable Muhammad Jameel, Malik Shafeeq, Malik Muneer and Muhammad Hussain; all of whom died on the spot.
Those who were injured were policeman Muhammad Abbas, Wali Joeya and Haq Nawaz Kharal.
Soon after the incident, the personnel of police and Rescue 1122 reached the site and began shifting the dead as well as the injured to Rural Health Center Satyana. The van after was completely destroyed.
