Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday visited the site of Shahdara Flyover in Lahore and inspected the quality of work besides reviewing progress made on the project so far, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The chief minister ordered expediting work on the project.
He gave necessary instructions to the contractor so that the flyover could be built on time.
He said 88 per cent work on the project had been completed. “You enjoy the complete support of the Punjab government. Please ensure finish your work by the mid of next month,” the CM said, adding, “Make up for the delay caused by rains by utilizing maximum resources.”
He expressed the hope that after the completion of the project traffic issues at the entry and exit points of the city would be resolved permanently as 3, 000 vehicles would pass through the flyover on a daily basis.
Lahore Development Authority (LDA) chief engineer and the contractor, on the occasion, briefed CM Naqvi on the progress made so far.
Provincial ministers Amir Mir, Azfar Ali Nasir, the deputy commissioner and other concerned officials were also present on the occasion.
