PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif has advised all party leaders to return back to Pakistan within three days, in view of the extensive preparations currently underway for the homecoming of the party supremo, Mian Nawaz Sharif, next month, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to the media in London, Shehbaz Sharif reiterated that there had been no change in the planned date for Nawaz Sharif's return to Pakistan. He said the party supremo would be given a historic welcome, reconfirming that he would touch down in Lahore on October 21 (Saturday).
The former prime minister also instructed all its members, including senators, former MNAs and MPAs, and ticket holders to avoid travelling abroad before former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s homecoming which is scheduled for October 21.
“All party leaders should avoid travelling abroad before October 21,” he said.
“The friends who came to London to meet the PML-N quaid have also cancelled their programmes and given full time in their constituencies for public mobilisation.”
The PML-N also shared a video of Shehbaz on X, formerly known as Twitter.
PML-N supremo Nawaz is scheduled to return to Pakistan next month, but many rumours were rife that the development would not take place after the Supreme Court struck down National Accountability Bureau amendments.
