Amid probe over Mala Jabba incident, DIG Malakand and DPO Swat have been removed from their posts after IED blast which targeted the convoy of foreign diplomats few day back, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to government officials, DIG Muhammad Ali Gandapur and DPO Zahidullah have been directed to report to the CPO. According to the police, there was an explosion on the convoy of foreign diplomats in Malam Jabba area of Swat on September 22. One policeman was martyred and 3 injured in the explosion.
On the other hand, a two-member committee has been set up by the provincial government for the investigation, which includes the Additional IG Investigation and the Special Interior Secretary. Sources said that the committee will investigate the incident from various aspects and after the investigation will also prepare a detailed report and submit it to the provincial government.
