Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi approved release of Rs4.7 million funds from the Chief Minister's Fund to help dozens of poor and indigent people of Bahawalpur, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
Following confirmation of the DC Bahawalpur's reports, the aforementioned amount was released to the Bahawalpur Commissioner for the purpose of providing relief to the poor.
Besides, the Punjab Chief Minister on Thursday called an important meeting on ongoing development projects in Lahore.
In the meeting, a briefing will be given on all ongoing development projects, including CBD projects, Sports Complex, Akbar Chowk and Samanabad underpass project in Data Darbar, Lahore Ring Road and the restoration projects of the dilapidated roads of the city.
