Hamid Mir seeks judicial inquiry into Arshad Sharif murder

Senior journalist Hamid Mir has filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court to constitute a judicial commission to investigate the Arshad Sharif murder, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The petitioner requested the court to issued order to the concerned officials to establish a judicial commission for transparent investigation of the Arshad Sharif's murder.

The court also orders the JIT, established to investigate the murder, to submit the facts, data and reports related to the case to the court.

The court should allow the petitioner to assist in the formation of TORs of the Judicial Commission, the petitioner demanded on Saturday.

The President of Pakistan, Interior Secretary and DG FIA have been made parties in the petition, the text of the petition said.
