HE Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliky, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia called on Federal Minister for Defence Production, Zobaida Jalal Thursday.
Minister for Defence Production welcomed the dignitary and conveyed that Pakistan attaches great value to its relations with Saudi Arabia.
Zobaida said the Pakistan-Saudia religious, cultural and fraternal ties have a remarkable history.
“The people of both countries have great regard and respect for each other. Both countries share commonalities of views on all regional and international issues. We want to continue with same pace and momentum,” she added.
The Saudi Ambassador expressed his good wishes for the government and people of Pakistan and said that there exists a feeling of oneness between the people of these two states which is enough to suggest how deep-rooted and close the ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are.
In another, call on meeting with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, HE Tarek Dahrough, Federal Minister for Defence Production said Egypt holds an important position in the region as well as in the Islamic World.
“Therefore, there exists a great scope and scale of cooperation between the two states to work together in diverse fields. The defence industry of Pakistan and Egypt can work jointly to enhance production capabilities.”
The visiting dignitary acknowledged the existing scope and scale of cooperation and committed to undertake joint ventures in the respective domains.
Expressing gratitude on the principled stand of Egypt on the issue of Kashmir the Federal Minister said that we really appreciate the support of Egypt and hope to extend similar support to each other on a reciprocal basis in future as well.
