The federal government Friday conditionally allowed the opposition’s alliance, PDM to hold a public meeting at the Mazar-e-Quaid on Sunday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) was initially not allowed by the government following the sanctity of the spot.
Anyhow, the government had set some TORs for holding the public meeting at the Mazar and termed the security of the venue would be the responsibility of the PDM.
As per the TORs, the PDM’s meeting would be held at South Peripheral Area of the Mazar only and the organizer would be held responsible for any violation of the provisions of the Protection & Maintenance Ordinance of Quaid’s Mausoleum.
The TOR said any damage to the Mazar property would have to be made good by the organizer including grilled boundary walls.
Following all the SOPs set by the NCOC for the participants in the public meeting of the PDM, vehicles would be parked at a distance of one kilometer from the meeting place.
