An audit report has uncovered massive corruption in Karachi's Jinnah Sindh Medical University and Shah Abdul Latif University in Khairpur, revealing embezzlement amounting to Rs1.058 billion.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the audit report highlights significant financial irregularities, particularly in the sale of admission forms and the handling of student fees.
As per the audit, there was widespread misappropriation involving cash withdrawals from the fees collected from students.
Additionally, the universities failed to maintain proper records of receipts, further facilitating the corruption.
This large-scale financial mismanagement raises serious concerns about the administrative practices at these institutions.
