During an episode of 'Koffee With Karan', actress Sara Ali Khan candidly discussed her relationship with her stepmother Kareena Kapoor Khan, revealing the amusing dilemma she faced on what to call her.
When host Karan Johar asked if Saif Ali Khan ever suggested she address Kareena as 'Chhoti Maa', Sara humorously replied that Kareena would have had a nervous breakdown if she had done so. The actor further added that Kareena would be like, “What? No!”
Sara shared that initially, she was unsure whether to call Kareena 'Kareena' or 'Aunty'.
However, her father, Saif Ali Khan, quickly advised against calling her 'Aunty', which left Sara opting for 'K' or 'Kareena' instead.
The actress also mentioned how Kareena made it clear from the start that she wanted to be friends, acknowledging Sara's mother, Amrita Singh, and the strong bond they share.
Sara and her mother Amrita Singh, have a perfect relationship with Kareena Kapoor. They are often seen together and speak well about each other.
Sara also shared how her mother dressed her up for her father’s second marriage with Kareena Kapoor. Sara mentioned that Bebo herself told her, ‘Look, you have a great mother. What I want is for us to be able to be friends."
