Prominent Islamic religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil has suffered a heart attack in Canada, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Tuesday.
Tariq Jameel's son Yousaf Jameel confirmed that his father suffered a heart attack in Canada.
Taking to Twitter, he penned that his father is currently in Canada and has been shifted to the hospital due to cardiac arrest. However, he said that doctors have termed his condition as out of danger.
He appealed to the people to pray for his early recovery.
Maulana Tariq Jamil is a chronic patient with cardiovascular disease. He has also passed through an angioplasty in Lahore about four years ago.
