The state-run PTV Sports is not airing the second Test between Pakistan and Australia because of advertisements of surrogate betting companies at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Local channels have also been barred from broadcasting the advertisements of surrogate betting bodies. The authorities noticed that the logos from two betting bodies were continuously shown during the first Test in Perth.
According to the notification shared on social media, PTV Sports followed the state policy of zero tolerance for the surrogate companies and blocked the broadcast of the second Test match at Melbourne on Tuesday.
