Former prime minister and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday said that the general elections scheduled to be held on February 8, 2024 are going to be historic, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing the party’s parliamentary board’s meeting, he said that the return of former prime minister and the PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif had infused a new spirit in the party workers. “Under the leadership of our leader, we will emerge victorious in the elections,” he said, and added, “The golden era of Nawaz Sharif will return.”
He went on to say that it was the last PML-N government, which led by Nawaz Sharif, eliminated 10-hour loadshedding from the country.
He underscored the fact that only the country where there was political stability progressed. “The credit for the restoration of peace in Karachi goes to the PML-N supremo,” Shehbaz said, adding, “Similarly terrorism was eliminated from the country courtesy the steps taken by Nawaz when he was at the helm of affairs.”
