15 officers of grade 20 transferred and posted under new Rotation Policy

The federal government has notified transfers and postings under the new Rotation Policy 2020.

According to a notification issued by the establishment division on Saturday, officers of grade 20 have been transferred from the province they have been 'on duty’ for years. A total of 15 officers of DIG rank were rotated and under the new policy, these public servants can’t get transferred back for two years.

DIG Irfan Baloch has been transferred from Sindh to Islamabad and DIG Fida Hussain’s services to the Motorway Police while DIG Muneer Sheikh, DIG Qamar Zaman, DIG Iqbal and DIG Muneer Sheikh Junior have been posted to Punjab.

Abbas Younas has been transferred from Punjab to KP, Tariq Abbas to Sindh, Nalain Ahmad to Sindh, Sariq Kamal to KP, Muhammad Hasan to GB, Shaid Javed to Motorway Police and Awal Khan of KP is posted to and Shabir to Motorway police.

Last year, Prime Minister Imran Khan approved the rotation policy to ensure that the civil servants belonging to the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) and the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP) do not stay in a single province or station for more than a specified number of years. Since 2000, the old policy had been in place.
