A Sialkot Consumer Court ordered the UAE-based airline, flydubai, to pay a fine of Rs0.2 million for providing substandard services to Pakistani passengers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

Announcing the verdict on a petition filed by the aggrieved passengers, the Consumer Court Presiding Officer Aqeel Hassan Chauhan ordered the flydubai manager to pay Rs 0.2 million fine for substandard services to the passengers.

The airline was also directed to pay taxi fare of 500 riyals and Rs30,000 in legal expenses to the passengers.

Petitioners Imran Nazir and Abida Parveen pleaded that flydubai lost their luggage at Jeddah International Airport and they had to spend three days there without the blood pressure and diabetes medicines and necessary clothes. Later, without any help from the airline, the aggrieved passengers went to Jeddah from Makkah and got back their belongings.

The court ordered that the decision will be implemented within 30 days.
