Thousands of traders and travellers on both sides of the Pakistan-Afghanistan border are facing severe hardships as FIA Immigration has been closed since the coronavirus outbreak in the country last year, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Reportedly, FIA immigration centre was closed amid spread fear of COVID-19 at Chaman-Afghan border.
Traders demanded Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed to restore FIA Immigration Section at Chaman border.
Reportedly, the section on Pak-Afghan border closed on March 2, 2020 and the passport stamping process has stalled since then.
Reportedly, travellers coming to Pakistan for treatment are also facing a tough situation along with hundreds of women passengers travelling to Afghanistan come on foot.
