Railways unable to fix glitch in online booking after 30 hours

Pakistan Railways online ticketing system went down and its Information Technology (IT) Department is unable to fix the technical glitch even after passing of 30 hours, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Railways IT officers failed to find the cause of the glitch in the server system and the online ticket booking system is still closed at the reservation offices across the country, including Lahore. 

Reportedly, there are long lines of passengers at the railway stations. However, manual booking is being carried at the Multan Railway Station and other railway stations. 

Railways officials at Multan Railway Station said they have been working to find out the technical glitch.

Separately, the Railways administration also failed to restore train schedules despite better weather conditions. 

Several trains from Karachi and Quetta to Lahore are still delayed for hours inclined Khyber Mail Express from Karachi one hour and 10 minutes, Green Line Express one hour and 20 minutes, Tezgam Express one hour and 40 minutes, Awam Express two hours and 30 minutes, Millat Express one hour and 20 minutes, Pak Business Express three hours and 40 minutes and Jaffar Express one hour and 40 minutes.

Karakoram Express is delayed by two hours and 45 minutes, Shah Hussain Express by two hours and 25 minutes, and Pakistan Express by one hour.
