Defence Minister Pervez Khattak flew into rage on Thursday when he saw dozens of empty seats at the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) workers’ convention at an auditorium in Bannu, and kept requesting the workers to immediately take their seats as the event was being covered by the media, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

“For God’s sake, be seated. Because if you don’t do so, media as well as the people will laugh at us,” Khattak kept shouting at them.

“When I was in Waziristan a few days ago, I felt that they were so enthusiastic that they will not hesitate to lay down their lives for the party. But sadly, you don’t have the same spirit,” the minister said.

Earlier, party’s supporters from North Waziristan staged a sit-in outside the convention venue vowing not to let Pervez Khattak enter until their demand are met.
