Muslims observe Shab-e-Meraj with reverence tonight

 Muslims around the world, including Pakistan, will observe Shab-e-Meraj 2025 tonight with profound religious devotion and fervor, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Muslims observe the night of Rajab 27 when Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) embarked on a special journey to meet the Almighty.

Special prayers, religious gatherings, and Mahafil will be held in mosques and homes across Pakistan and other Muslim-majority countries for the well-being of the nation and the Ummah. 

Believers will seek the mercy and forgiveness of Allah (SWT) and reflect on the teachings of Islam. 

Religious scholars will deliver sermons highlighting the importance and lessons of the event, which is rooted deeply in the faith of the Muslim community.

To mark the occasion, streets, houses, and mosques have been adorned with colorful lights, candles, and buntings. 

The spiritual atmosphere is further enhanced by the collective devotion of Muslims who unite to honor this sacred night.

Shab-e-Meraj, observed annually on the 27th night of Rajab-ul-Murajab, commemorates the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) journey from the Kaaba in Mecca to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, followed by his ascension (Meraj) to the heavens. 

This extraordinary event, described in Islamic texts, signifies the spiritual connection between humanity and the divine.

 During this journey, the Prophet (PBUH) was gifted with the five daily prayers (Salat), which were made compulsory for Muslims. 

The word "Meraj," derived from the Arabic term "Urooj," meaning ascension, reflects the Prophet’s (PBUH) elevation to the heavens and his meeting with Allah (SWT).

Shab-e-Meraj is not only a celebration of the Prophet’s miraculous journey but also a reminder for Muslims to strengthen their faith, seek forgiveness, and uphold the principles of Islam.

 The night serves as an opportunity for deep spiritual reflection, connecting believers to the divine blessings and mercy of Allah (SWT).
