In Pakistan, the electricity tariffs for domestic and commercial consumers have been increased massively.

We have seen many Pakistani celebrities recording their protest against the unbearable electricity bills including veteran actor Rashid Mehmood, Shugufta Ejaz, Nooran Lal, Humaira Channa, and others shared their electricity bills and condemned the unfair billing.

Another veteran Pakistani actor Usman Peerzada has given an interview to Hum News.

In his short interview, he expressed his hopelessness about unfair billing by Wapda.

Talking about it, Usman Peerzada said, “I saw Rashid Mehmood’s interview regarding this and I didn’t feel good after hearing his interview regarding the unjust and heavy electricity bill. We all are facing the same situation, I don’t know how would I survive or how would people survive because we are paying more taxes than bills, and the salaries of people are the same.

"The climate changes are horrible, now we are experiencing hot weather. I can’t turn on AC all the time but when the temperature becomes too hot then we have to turn it on.

"Wapda is not fair with the billings, it is doing dishonesty with its job, they are taking a lot of money from poor people and it has become difficult for them to survive”.
