Two alleged dacoits were killed reportedly in an encounter with the police near Kuchra Kundi in the limits of New Karachi Industrial Area, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Police, however, said they had managed to arrest one of their female accomplices named Rukhsana wife of Imtiaz, while the other one fled from the spot.
Police further said that one of the constables was also injured in the incident.
Elaborating further, the Force said that the slain dacoits had been identified as Shaukat son of Muhammad Nawaz and Zafar son of Abdul Hameed and three TT pistols, four cellphones, ladies’ purses, a hand watch and two motorcycles were recovered from them.
Police said they were busy checking the criminal record of these dacoits.
‘Dacoit’ killed in shootout with police in Sialkot
One alleged dacoit was killed while the other one fled from the spot reportedly in an encounter with the police in Kotli Pakki area in the limits of Saddar Police Station in Sialkot.
Police said one of their constables, Salman, was injured due to firing by the dacoits.
Salman received two bullets, the Force explained.
Elaborating further, they said that the dacoits were busy robbing people of their valuables when the police reached the spot.
On seeing the cops, the robbers opened fire at them, the Force said.
They said that raids were being conducted for the arrest of the slain dacoit’s accomplice.
