It was hot and extremely humid in Lahore early Monday morning, making the people sweat profusely as the monsoon season is just round the corner, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
It was 35 degrees Celsius in the morning and the temperature was expected to go up to 41 degrees Celsius later in the day.
In view of sultry weather, experts have advised people to stay indoors.
The air quality index (AQI) in the city was recorded at 166.
The Met Office, on the other hand, predicted hot and humid weather for almost all parts of the country.
It forecast hot and dry weather for Islamabad, most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), extremely hot and humid for the central and southern parts of Punjab, upper Sindh and hot and humid for lower Sindh and Balochistan.
It predicted party cloudy weather for Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).
