A district and sessions court in Islamabad on Thursday reserved its verdict on the petitions filed for the acquittal of former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan and party stalwarts Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Faisal Javed in two cases registered against them at Aabpara police station of the federal capital in connection with the party’s Azadi March, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Judicial Magistrate Yasir Mehmood heard the acquittal pleas.

PTI lawyers Sardar Masroof Advocate and Amina Ali appeared in the court and gave arguments in support of the acquittal of their clients in these cases.

Sardar Masroof said that the FIRs against the PTI leaders were not registered on the complaint by a concerned authority. “Even if the trial is completed, there is little chance that my clients get sentences since the prosecution has failed to give any proof,” he said.
